Woodstock, in Cherokee County, has transformed its historic downtown into a lively mixed-use district while retaining important elements of the older town. The railroad, historic depot, churches, houses, and small commercial buildings remain part of the landscape, but substantial newer residential and commercial development has been woven into the downtown core. These photographs were taken in January 2016 and show both the historic fabric of Woodstock and the newer development that has reshaped the center of the city.
